Why oh why do we let them get away with it? 

I am of course talking about the cable tv firms who have left our pavements ridden with tracks and trench marks that are uneven and dangerous. 

These tracks, plough through the tarmac that has replaced the traditional paving stone.  Apparently the local council state that they only have to make the pavement good. Surely making good is visible and safe. 

I challenge whether any one form the council actually checks on the quality of this work at all.  All the cable companies should be made accountable for the mess they have created and be made to re-lay every pavement in its entirety. 

How do they get away with it? 

 What you find after a year or two, like outside my very front door, these trench filled tarmac patches begin to disintegrate.  Who is going back and claiming damages for poor materials and workmanship I say. 

We pay enough Council Tax for services, we shouldn't be subsidising or have to put up with private sector bodge jobs on streets. 

Make them accountable and councils get of your collective behinds and do something

Jaffa Cakes

I have just read in my daily newspaper the argument about wither the humble jaffa cake is a biscuit or cake is due to rage again! Does it bloody matter? It’s a soft round piece of sponge with orange jam in the middle and chocolate on top, whether it is a biscuit or a cake is irrelevant, they all end up in the same placed, stuffed in my gob! So leave it out!  We don’t care!

Bingo Ruined!

My one escape each week from the snarling youths and young tartsaround my way is my trip for half a lager and a few games of bingo!  Well now  that’s been ruined! Youths lured in by the temptation of cheap booze are ruining the game!  They don’t understand, chat through the calling and bloody win!   

PC Plod!

Is it me or are our coppers getting fatter again! A few years ago they all looked liked they were just out of nappies, now they have grown up they seem to have grown out.  Fat policemen everywhere and instead of looking for villans they all seem to be looking at the cake shops and Burger bars! I reckon we should make them all have a fat and fitness test once a year if they are entrusted with upholding Her Majesty’s law, and protecting us!
